Printer Care Tips & Guides

Posted on 02:16 by Unknown
Many modern printers are designed to print, scan, and fax as well. There are different types of printers that give specific output. Choosing an all-in-one printer can be quite impressive. But you won’t get the perfect result, unless you keep an eye on its maintenance. There’s no sense in having an expensive printer, if you properly don’t take care of it. An uncared printer tends to accumulate dust, gets its cartridges clogged, and results in staggered print outs. Proper maintenance can lengthen its life, usage, and lessen your printing load. Preserve your printer in a perfect condition to get the best quality print out, every time you print. This article outlines some vital tips and guides that will help you to prolong your printer’s life.

Tips & Guides:-
  •  The price of our printer is more expensive than the cartridge. It’s always recommended to buy original cartridge, instead of buying refill ink which can hamper your machine. Use oil-based ink which is better than water-based materials. This is because the water-based ink dries up easily if the printer is used rarely. The original ink will produce a good quality print without damaging your printer.
  •  Leaving the printer idle for a long period of time is a bad sign for it. It will result in the interrupted flow of ink in the nozzle with a poor print quality. Print black and color documents 1-2 sheets periodically 2-3 times a week. This will ensure the smooth flow of ink.
  • Turn off the device when you are not using it. It will keep the closing holes of the flow of ink safe in the printer head. The printer head will not dry up by constant exposure to air. Turn off and cover it to prevent dust and other particles. It will also keep the machine functioning at high quality.
  • Unplug the printer before cleaning it. Clean it regularly from outside and inside. Use a damp, lint-free cloth dipped in water or rubbing alcohol to clean. Wipe away the dust and other contaminants deposited over and around the printer. Take off the hood and remove the cartridge before cleaning inside. Use rubbing alcohol or bestine to clean the roller. You can also use a small vacuum cleaner or keyboard vacuum to suck the dust and dirt.
  • Every printer comes with a diagnostic tool, usually contained in the printer maintenance menu. It’s a software help to overcome the printer problems. Check, learn, and use it to keep your machine healthy. Run commands like nozzle cleaning, print head alignment, cleaning rollers, etc.
  • After cleaning, use lubricant occasionally to experience smooth printing moment. Put the lubricant on the shaft, head, or cartridge to maintain a good condition. This way you can make your printer more durable with a maintained print quality.
