These are basic features used by consumers to compare laptops. In recent time, desktop computers are fast phasing out as more and more people are going after laptop/notebook computers. One of the obvious reasons for the massive drift towards the laptop computers is because of the portability feature of laptops.

Besides, laptops are fast becoming necessities of individuals of different classes and status; students, businessmen, workers, teachers and even kids. Given the high demand for this machine, many companies have joined in the production and sales of laptops and the competitions among these companies have also heightened. As large varieties and brands of these portable machines have flooded the market; consumers are becoming confused on how to select the best laptops or the most suitable laptops.

It is therefore imperative, that consumers be guided with certain features and tips to reduce their confusion on how to compare laptops and subsequently choose the right one. These tips on functions and features can be of help to you when choosing a laptop;

Multi-purpose Laptops

These classes of laptops computers offer multiple functions and have been fashioned in standard size. Virtually all the brands of computers offer all-purpose laptops. These computers have varieties of features and functions; the user switches to various functions when using this class of laptops. They offer functions and features such as graphic/image editing, video, gaming; and they are also internet facility-compatible.

The multi-purpose laptops are available at affordable prices; especially the older versions. Usually, those that are not accompanied with operating system are the lowliest priced. If you don't have a specific purpose for acquiring a laptop, you might consider going for this class and standard; otherwise, you can compare laptops that will meet specific needs.

Power Laptops

This class of laptops is among the most powerful laptop PCs. Units that are bigger in size give room for installation of varieties of features and components that did not accompany the computer; however, these ones are usually burdensome to move around with, owing to their sizes. When you want to compare laptops in terms of ease of mobility, this class might not be very convenient in comparison with the ultra-portable laptops. You also need to know that this class of laptop computers are usually expensive and would be just suitable for those who want extra features and components to be installed in their laptops.

Also, your choice of laptop will depend on other factors; for example, a student would want to go for a laptop that is affordable and basically having features that would serve educational purposes; a business man would usually go for more powerful and ultra-portable laptops that would allow more business features and programs to be installed and be easily carried around.
